Resin 3D prints are ideal for certain types of after detailing parts such as oil lamps, torpedo vents, carriage seats and for standalone items such as milk churns. 3D printing complements other technologies like etched brass.
If you have something you want but can't find then email me at stuart@stmodels.co.uk and I can let you know if the part is suitable for 3D printing. It usually requires a drawing, a few pictures and a model the part is for.
Latest Release - 5 Dec 2024 - Upnor Castle
This is a design by Banwy Models of the Planet diesel Upnor Castle as it was on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway between 1962 and 1968. It also ran in this condition on the Chattenden and Upnor Railway as well as the Ffestiniog Railway prior to its rebuilding.
The print is designed to fit a Tomytec HM-01 chassis with only minor modifications. The HM-01 is out of production but the TR-02 can be made to fit by removing the stretchers inside the body and fitting two supports that slot between the weights and the motor of the TR-02. the longer term plan is to revisit the design and change the mounting to exactly fit the TR-02.
This model is too large to fit within the large letter category so please select UK Small Parcel for shipping. Overseas shipping already caters for this size.
For every locomotive sold a donation will be made to the WLLR.
Ordering is easy. Click on Store at the top of the page to take you to the SumUp store where you'll be able to pay by credit card or paypal and also organise collection at any exhibitions where I am attending.
